Schedule:
- Traditional Protestant service is held each Sunday from 10:30 until 11:30 at Soldier Memorial Chapel.
- the Brigade services are held each Sunday from 08:00 until 09:00 and 09:30 until 10:30 at Main Post Chapel and 13:00-14:00 at Soldier Memorial Chapel.
- the Crossroads Contemporary service is held each Sunday from 11:00 until 12;00 at Main Post Chapel.
Qualifications:
- Two (2) years’ experience performing worship and music services for a Protestant church/chapel.
- Active membership/attendance at a Protestant church/chapel.
- An advanced familiarity with contemporary and traditional protestant music.
Duties:
- Be present and ready to play the musical selection no later than the start of the service and perform the music in accordance with the Army Band Standard.
- lead the volunteer vocalists and musicians supporting the worship services or rehearsals.
- adhere to the following dress: business casual (slacks, button shirt, closed shoes) for men and business casual (shoulders covered and dress/skirt no higher than mid-thigh) for women.
- provide music for special and/or unplanned religious services sponsored by the Religious Support Office. These special services may include religious holidays, funerals, memorial services or ceremonies.
- Play a selection cleanly; maintain tempo during runs or technical passages; quickly correct mistakes when stumbling on a passage, and they must be able to play scales and arpeggios rapidly.
- Sight reading music by demonstrating easy transitions, observing dynamics and expression markings while reading and playing unfamiliar music with reasonable assurance.
