Position Overview: The Program Manager will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive program management services to the 131st Rescue Squadron (131 RQS) located at Moffett Field, CA (94035). The Candidate will oversee and facilitate the successful execution of three essential programs: The Maritime and Inventory Program, Tactical Vehicle Program, and Operations Program. This role requires a strong background in program management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: MUST HAVE AN active personnel security clearance at the Secret level in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) Web Application.
Responsibilities:
Maritime and Inventory Program:
- Develop and implement strategies for the efficient management of maritime assets and inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate replenishment to ensure operational readiness.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with established guidelines and regulations pertaining to asset management and inventory control.
Tactical Vehicle Program:
- Oversee the lifecycle management of tactical vehicles, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
- Coordinate routine maintenance schedules and ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition.
- Monitor budget allocations for the program and make recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
- Address any technical issues or concerns related to tactical vehicles promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
Operations Program:
- Provide strategic oversight and coordination of operational activities within the 131 RQS.
- Collaborate with various units and departments to ensure seamless execution of operational plans.
- Identify potential risks, develop contingency plans, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor program performance metrics and generate reports to assess progress and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience in program management, preferably within military or complex organizational settings.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, asset tracking, and supply chain principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify problems and propose effective solutions.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Prior experience working with military programs or units is a plus.
