Company Overview: Viakorp Corporation, is seeking a qualified Cathodic Protection Assessment Specialist to perform comprehensive assessments and provide repair recommendations for water system impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) systems. The position involves working closely with the 92d Civil Engineering Squadron to ensure the effective maintenance and operation of water storage tank systems.
Position Title: Cathodic Protection Assessment Specialist
Location: Fairchild Air Force Base, WA
Hours of Operation: Normal hours: 0700-1630 Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
  • NACE CP-3 Certification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in assessing and maintaining cathodic protection systems.
  • Strong understanding of ICCP and Sacrificial/Galvanic systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and practices, including NFPA, AFMAN, AFH, UFC, and NACE.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and provide detailed reports.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complete assessments of existing cathodic protection systems, including ICCP and Sacrificial/Galvanic systems.
  • Identify and report on the status of anodes, rectifiers, paint coatings, conductors, and other associated components.
  • Conduct testing and evaluation based on NACE Standard Test Methods.
  • Coordinate the disconnect and reconnect of electrical power systems with the 92 CES point of contact.
  • Provide detailed inspection, performance, testing, findings, and repair recommendation reports.
