Duties:

Shall, under the direction of the Wing Chaplain or designee, plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Catholic community at McConnell AFB
Provide administrative support, religious services, and pastoral care in support of religious education and weekly Masses
The Candidate shall, with the approval of the Wing Chaplain, establish periods for Catholic worship, provide proper liturgical environment, and conduct scheduled Eucharistic services as well as devotions, prayer services, sacramental rites, religious education and formation.
The Candidate shall be accessible to assigned Catholic military members and their families requiring the services of a Roman Catholic priest.
The Candidate shall coordinate, plan, organize, and organize a Catholic Religious Education program. The candidate may recruit, train, and equip volunteers.
The Candidate shall be responsible for the music program for all Masses. If music is desired the contractor shall plan and coordinate musical selection or delegate this responsibility to volunteers.
The Candidate shall regularly attend the Pastoral Advisory Council meetings and Wing Chapel staff meetings to report on ongoing ministries. He must also attend all scheduled liturgy meetings on a regular basis in coordination of dates, times, and places of all parish liturgies (especially seasonal liturgical events, i.e. Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, etc.).

Qualifications:

Must be knowledgeable of Scriptures, liturgy, doctrine of the Roman Catholic faith and Canon law.
Must be knowledgeable of providing pastoral care in a diverse and pluralistic military religious environment.
Provide written documentation stating that he has the approval of his diocesan bishop or religious superior to provide services as a priest
Providing written documentation of Ecclesiastical Endorsement from the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS), USA is highly preferred
