Job Description:
The United States Secret Service (USSS) is seeking an Athletic Trainer for the Health and Resiliency Training Section, responsible for enhancing the well-being of USSS members.
Minimum Qualifications:
Hold a master's degree in Athletic Training or a closely related field, demonstrating expertise in sports medicine.
Possess a valid Certified Athletic Training (ATC) certification, showcasing proficiency in injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation techniques.
Have experience as a performance improvement coach and advisor, collaborating with leadership for impactful resource delivery, in-person support, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative care programs for USSS members, ensuring the highest standards of health and fitness.
Provide counsel to USSS personnel on injury prevention, care, conditioning, rehabilitation, training, diet, and rest.
Apply protective and therapeutic measures, such as bandaging, wrapping, strapping, and padding, to prevent injury to USSS trainees.
Refer USSS personnel to Emergency Services or allied health care specialists as needed for further evaluation and treatment.
Complete and pass the USSS Physical Fitness Assessment, achieving a minimum "Good" rating in all areas.
Meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, pushing, or dragging at least 100 pounds.
Perform duties involving both outdoor and indoor activities, demonstrating the capability to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions.
