Job title: Religious Education Coordinator

Location: Fort Buchanan, PR

Travel: N/A

Duties:

• The applicant shall attend planning and coordination meetings and provide necessary input for services.
• The applicant shall coordinate with the Catholic Community to assist with the implementation of RE programs, goals, policies, and procedures for Fort Buchanan Community programs for children and adults.
• The applicant shall perform administrative tasks necessary to begin program in September

(Reserve facilities, recruit teachers, publicize, etc.)

• The applicant shall assist with recruiting a minimum of 2 Teacher Training sessions coordinated with Catholic Priest and/or Garrison Chaplain to inaugurate the school year.
• The applicant shall Initiate RE facilities and requests in accordance with local policy.
• The applicant shall submit all facility, funds, and material requests to the Garrison Chaplain for approval, coordination, and processing.
• The applicant shall attend weekly meetings with the Garrison Chaplain and Chapel Staff
• The applicant shall attend the Pastoral Council meetings.

Qualification/ Education:

• Experience in teaching.
• Have excellent organization and planning skills.
• Possess basic word-processing skills.
• Experience working in a military environment is preferred.
• The applicant must be willing to work in a pluralistic environment where they may meet members from various faith groups and/or viewpoints.
