Duties:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Vandenberg Education and Training Services Facility.
  • Plan, direct, and organize facility operations including scheduling and classroom management for meetings and instruction.
  • Exercise control over daily classroom scheduling, set-up, troubleshooting, and audio-visual functions.
  • Conduct end user training and logistics for federal, state, and local agencies utilizing the facility.
  • Act as the facility focal point for all computer, audiovisual, and lighting requirements for events and training.
  • Ensure proper facility maintenance and operational readiness including equipment and technology safety.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather, analyze, and implement program information to meet mission objectives.
  • Maintain documentation and communicate procedural information clearly.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the daily activities of the Vandenberg Education and Training Building.
  • Act as a liaison for classroom scheduling, management, and user support.
  • Coordinate and support high-level events hosted by various units and agencies.
  • Manage facility maintenance, equipment inventory, and upgrades.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain facility cleanliness and operational standards.
  • Support base exercises and real-world events as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as a facility point of contact and technical expert for computer, audiovisual, and lighting requirements.
  • Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience assisting with scheduling and conducting Satellite Broadcast Courses.
  • Associate degree in a related mechanical or electrical field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Knowledge of military protocol practices, procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in operating basic computer systems and audiovisual equipment for conference, training, and classroom presentations.
  • Ability to assist, troubleshoot, and instruct individuals with varying skill levels in technology set-up and usage.
  • Strong analytical skills to gather, analyze program information, draw conclusions, and devise solutions.
  • Financial and operational management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
