Qualifications:
- Over two years of experience in leading music ministry.
- Ability to play and direct music with a focus on contemporary worship traditions.
- Experience in planning and leading music in a church or chapel setting.
- Proficiency in playing keyboard, piano, or guitar as needed.
- Ability to sing and lead a team of musicians for congregational singing.
- Adequate command of music theory to transpose, arrange, and lead music.
- Mature command of speaking, writing, and reading the English language.
- Knowledge of various forms of music used in different Protestant worship settings.
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse denominational backgrounds.
Duties:
- Provide musical worship for each service, including Holy Days, rehearsals, and special events. Weekly services are held every Sunday at 0900 in Hope Chapel.
- Prepare worship presentations using appropriate software for each service.
- Coordinate all musical activities with chapel staff, using proper forms and ensuring inclusion in the chapel calendar.
- Maintain and care for musical supplies and chapel property.
- Perform 52 Sunday services, 52 rehearsals, and 12 special events, totaling 116 units.
- Arrive 30 minutes before the service to meet with the chaplain, direct warm-up, and ensure musical needs are met.
- Lead hymns, worship songs, and the worship team during rehearsals and special seasonal presentations.
- Recruit worship team members and ensure copyright compliance.
- Organize and coordinate song selections, confirm with the chaplain, and hold monthly coordination meetings.
