Pianist –Sunday Catholic Service
Location: West Casey Chapel, Camp Casey, Korea
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of minimum two (2) years of undergraduate formal training as a Piano Performance major (verified by transcript).
Minimum two (2) years of experience performing piano in worship or religious settings, including working with choirs and ensembles.
Ability to sight-read hymns and four-part harmony from the Armed Forces Hymnal or chapel hymnal.
Must speak and communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
Must pass an interview and audition with the Senior Chaplain and receive approval from the Chaplaincy Resource Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide piano accompaniment for the 0900 AM Sunday Catholic Mass, including prelude, offertory, hymns, postlude, choir pieces, and soloist support.
Perform 1 hour of rehearsal before each Mass, totaling approximately 2 hours per Sunday.
Provide musical accompaniment for 52 regular weekly services per year.
Support Choir/Praise Team rehearsals (up to 52 rehearsals annually) as scheduled by the choir director.
Provide piano accompaniment for Special/Seasonal Services such as memorials, funerals, or Holy Day observances (up to 10 services annually).
Conduct rehearsals for Special Services (up to 10 per year).
