Job Title: Certified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter

Job Type: Part-Time

Duties:

Provide in-person ASL interpretation services for an employee at the Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center during monthly All Hands meetings and other large meetings as needed.
Translate spoken English to ASL and vice versa during meetings, ensuring clear communication between hearing and deaf staff.
Ensure 95% accuracy in interpretation for non-technical terms.
Facilitate effective communication by ensuring both hearing and deaf staff understand actions required after meetings.

Requirements:

Certified ASL Interpreter (National Interpreter Certification, Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, or equivalent).
Minimum 3+ years of professional experience providing ASL interpretation in professional settings.
Proficient in sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpretation.
Experience with virtual meeting platforms like Microsoft Teams is a plus.
Strong time management and adaptability to meet attendance requirements for scheduled meetings.
