Duties:
- Prepare, cook, and present meals according to the menu and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure food is prepared to the required standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Assist in setting up and replenishing the food serving line before and during meal service.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of the cooking areas, including utensils, equipment, and surfaces.
- Follow food safety protocols, including proper handling and storage of food.
- Assist with inventory control by monitoring food supplies and reporting shortages.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines and ensure that all meals meet the dietary specifications.
- Support the dining facility team by ensuring a smooth workflow and assisting with meal preparation during peak periods.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in food service or as a cook is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
