Schedule:

Work will be performed according to scheduled trade-specific courses and laboratory requirements. Training may require in-person instruction at Norfolk Naval Shipyard facilities using designated classrooms, mockups, tools, and training equipment.

Summary:

The Trade Specific Instructor will provide practical technical instruction designed to connect academic learning with the skills and applications used within NNSY shipyard trades.

Requirements:

Must possess appropriate education, training, or experience in the assigned technical trade.
Must meet applicable Educational Institution instructor qualification standards.
Must be capable of providing practical and hands-on technical instruction.
Must satisfy applicable NNSY installation access and security requirements.

Duties:

Deliver trade-specific technical instruction.
Conduct hands-on laboratory and practical training when required.
Evaluate student knowledge, technical skills, and academic performance.
Maintain safe instructional practices during hands-on training.
