Job Title: Virtual Court Reporter

Duties:

  • Accurately record and transcribe Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) virtual hearings for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
  • Deliver high-quality, verbatim transcripts in electronic/PDF format with mini-scripts within 10 business days post-hearing.
  • Maintain compliance with federal guidelines, including IRS privacy and security protocols for sensitive information.
  • Ensure all transcripts meet the standards specified in the contract and maintain proper formatting and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with hearing participants to resolve speaker identification or technical challenges during proceedings.


Requirements:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a Court Reporter.
  • Demonstrated experience in court reporting, particularly for federal government agencies or legal proceedings.
  • Proficiency in using transcription software and remote video conferencing tools for virtual hearings.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with IRS privacy regulations and handling of sensitive but unclassified (SBU) information, or willingness to undergo training.
  • Reliable internet connection and secure home office setup for virtual work.
