Location: Aviano Air Base, Italy Position: Full-time
Duties:
Design and implement individualized physical training programs to enhance strength, endurance, and performance.
Conduct regular evaluations and fitness assessments to monitor progress, ensuring tactical conditioning and addressing performance trends.
Develop and oversee training programs for personnel on temporary duty (TDY) or deployed, adapting routines for remote locations.
Perform monthly functional movement screenings and quarterly performance testing to assess readiness.
Provide injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation support, coordinating with medical staff for expeditious return to duty.
Deliver instruction on proper exercise techniques, ensuring safe and effective training practices.
Maintain gym equipment and ensure the training facility meets safety and operational standards.
Analyze fitness data and generate performance reports for command leadership, offering insights and recommendations for improving physical readiness.
Requirements:
Master’s degree or higher in exercise science, health science, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience working with elite athletes or tactical professionals.
Current certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or a Licensed Athletic Trainer.
Ability to physically demonstrate exercises and techniques, with proficiency in lifting and manipulating loads up to 25 kg.
Experience developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs with measurable performance outcomes.
Strong understanding of tactical and operational environments, including deployment cycles and mission-specific physical requirements.
