Catholic Education Coordinator

Location: Edwards Air Force Base, California
Position: Part-time

Duties:

• Plan, manage, and coordinate Catholic Religious Education (RE) activities continuously, with increased workloads during periods such as Confirmation and Vacation Bible School (VBS).
• Submit an annual Catholic RE calendar, projecting all regular and sacramental classes, masses, rehearsals, lock-ins, retreats, and parents' meetings.
• Advise the Catholic Priest of any issues that might jeopardize the successful implementation of the Catholic RE program, including changes in student population or discipline problems.
• Maintain a current database of volunteers and ensure volunteer catechists are assigned to Sunday class sessions as required.

Requirements:

• Must be an active catechist with a minimum of five years of experience teaching a variety of sacramental programs for children, youth, and adults, or have equivalent classroom experience within the past five years.
• Must maintain good rapport with the congregation and ensure absolute privacy and confidentiality for any issues encountered.
