Provide an Advance Occupational Training Program to incarcerated students at Federal Medical Center, Fort Worth.
The Applicant will develop class curriculum, prepare lesson plans, and maintain student progress records for the barber vocational training program, and account for all government-furnished supplies, material, and equipment utilized by the VT program.
The purpose of the classes is to train students for careers in the workforce and to provide.
needed skills for RE-ENTRY employment in the community and to provide skills for existing work details within the institution.
The Applicant will normally provide 6 (1) hour sessions per day, 5 days per week, excluding Federal Holidays. Estimated annual sessions are approximately estimated 1000 sessions per 12-month period.
The Applicant shall instruct up to an estimated 5 inmates/students Monday- Friday 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Applicant will provide a graduation diploma or certificate from the Applicant’s barber school.
Qualifications:
The successful instructor shall possess a Vocational Certification in Barber/Cosmetology from an accredited college, technical school or university and/or experience in instruction in a barber/cosmetology field and be certified by the Texas Department of License & Regulation as a Barber/Cosmetology Instructor and maintain a valid barber/cosmetology license.
Prospective instructor should be a licensed Barber Instructor (2) years of experience in providing barbering instruction.
