Qualifications:
Over two years of experience in leading music ministry.
Ability to play and direct music with a focus on contemporary worship traditions.
Experience in planning and leading music in a church or chapel setting.
Proficiency in playing keyboard, piano, or guitar as needed.
Ability to sing and lead a team of musicians for congregational singing.
Adequate command of music theory to transpose, arrange, and lead music.
Mature command of speaking, writing, and reading the English language.
Knowledge of various forms of music used in different Protestant worship settings.
Ability to work with individuals from diverse denominational backgrounds.
Duties:
Provide musical worship for each service, including Holy Days, rehearsals, and special events. Weekly services are held every Sunday at 0900 in Hope Chapel.
Prepare worship presentations using appropriate software for each service.
Coordinate all musical activities with chapel staff, using proper forms and ensuring inclusion in the chapel calendar.
Maintain and care for musical supplies and chapel property.
Perform 52 Sunday services, 52 rehearsals, and 12 special events, totaling 116 units.
Arrive 30 minutes before the service to meet with the chaplain, direct warm-up, and ensure musical needs are met.
Lead hymns, worship songs, and the worship team during rehearsals and special seasonal presentations.
Recruit worship team members and ensure copyright compliance.
Organize and coordinate song selections, confirm with the chaplain, and hold monthly coordination meetings.
