Duties:

• Evaluation of documentation submitted for the proposed restoration of the salt flats.
• Providing recommendations to the refuge manager.  
• Participation in meetings, site visits and other coordination activities related to the project.
• Coordination of all activities related to needed permits for the project.  
• Conducting migratory and resident bird surveys with an emphasis on the Cabo Rojo salt flats to ensure the availability of data.

Qualification/ Education:

• The applicant should have knowledge of wildlife inventories and databases using USFWS internal systems for inventory and monitoring projects for a variety of natural resources.
• The applicant should have knowledge in habitat restoration planning and activities and be able to provide technical support to researchers and refuge operations staff.
• The applicant shall have a valid Puerto Rico driver’s license.
