Evaluation of documentation submitted for the proposed restoration of the salt flats.
Providing recommendations to the refuge manager.
Participation in meetings, site visits and other coordination activities related to the project.
Coordination of all activities related to needed permits for the project.
Conducting migratory and resident bird surveys with an emphasis on the Cabo Rojo salt flats to ensure the availability of data.
Qualification/ Education:
The applicant should have knowledge of wildlife inventories and databases using USFWS internal systems for inventory and monitoring projects for a variety of natural resources.
The applicant should have knowledge in habitat restoration planning and activities and be able to provide technical support to researchers and refuge operations staff.
The applicant shall have a valid Puerto Rico driver’s license.
