Pianist –Sunday Catholic Service

Location: West Casey Chapel, Camp Casey, Korea

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of minimum two (2) years of undergraduate formal training as a Piano Performance major (verified by transcript).

• Minimum two (2) years of experience performing piano in worship or religious settings, including working with choirs and ensembles.

• Ability to sight-read hymns and four-part harmony from the Armed Forces Hymnal or chapel hymnal.

• Must speak and communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

• Must pass an interview and audition with the Senior Chaplain and receive approval from the Chaplaincy Resource Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide piano accompaniment for the 0900 AM Sunday Catholic Mass, including prelude, offertory, hymns, postlude, choir pieces, and soloist support.

• Perform 1 hour of rehearsal before each Mass, totaling approximately 2 hours per Sunday.

• Provide musical accompaniment for 52 regular weekly services per year.

• Support Choir/Praise Team rehearsals (up to 52 rehearsals annually) as scheduled by the choir director.

• Provide piano accompaniment for Special/Seasonal Services such as memorials, funerals, or Holy Day observances (up to 10 services annually).

• Conduct rehearsals for Special Services (up to 10 per year).
