Job Summary
Provides advanced interior design services supporting VA healthcare construction, renovation, and space optimization projects. Ensures all designs meet clinical functionality, patient safety, and federal compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop complete interior design packages (plans, specs, finish schedules)
- Interpret construction drawings and coordinate with A/E teams
- Ensure compliance with VA design guides, ADA, NFPA, and life safety codes
- Conduct site surveys, field verification, and user coordination meetings
- Specify furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) aligned with clinical use
- Support project execution, submittals, and construction phases
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Interior Design or related field
- 5+ years experience (healthcare or federal preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and design documentation
