Conduct physical security patrols of the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center to detect and report health and safety violations, as well as suspicious or unlawful activities.
Enforce entrance control procedures by checking identification, keycards, and badges of all individuals entering the building.
Assist with emergencies, including evacuation procedures, building lockdowns, and crowd control, in coordination with VA Police and local authorities.
Maintain communication with VA Police and other local law enforcement to report dangerous conditions or security incidents.
Enforce designated smoking areas and conduct random bag checks under the Random Anti-Terrorism Measure (RAM) protocol, reporting any prohibited items found.
Document patrol activities, visitor logs, and incident reports accurately and promptly.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of experience in security or related fields.
Must be 18 years of age or older and meet Colorado state security requirements.
Strong ability to follow emergency protocols and maintain professionalism under pressure.
