Location: Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Memorial Chapel
Hours: Approximately 10-12 hours per week
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in sacred music, Musical Performance, or related field preferred
Demonstrated experience as a music director in Catholic worship settings, with proficiency in playing piano, organ, or similar instruments.
Experience working with and directing choirs and musical ensembles.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct music from the piano, organ, or keyboard during worship services.
Serve as the lead vocalist/cantor as needed.
Conduct weekly music rehearsals with choir members, musicians, and volunteers, ensuring all participants are well-prepared for upcoming services.
Prepare detailed music selections and instructions.
Provide all necessary musical support, including prelude and postlude, offertory, hymns, choruses, spiritual songs, and special music that enhances the worship atmosphere.
Direct, coach, and integrate all musicians and vocalists involved in the music ministry, ensuring cohesive and stylistically appropriate performances.
