Job Title: Catholic Worship Director/Musician
Location: Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base Chapel
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and perform music for Catholic worship services and special events
- Select music in accordance with the Catholic liturgical calendar and Church guidelines
- Provide piano and organ accompaniment during services
- Lead and direct choir and congregational singing
- Conduct regular rehearsals with volunteer musicians and vocalists
- Coordinate all music selections with the Catholic chaplain for approval at least 72 hours in advance
- Recruit, organize, and supervise volunteer musicians and singers
- Ensure all music and media usage complies with copyright regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience leading music in a Roman Catholic worship setting
- Proficiency in both piano and organ
- Strong understanding of Catholic liturgical practices and music selection
- Ability to lead choirs and coordinate volunteers effectively
- Strong communication skills in English
