Catholic Music Director

Location: Ellsworth Air Force Base, SD

Worksite: On-site

Position: Part-time

Duties:

• Coordinate with the Chaplain to provide musical support for worship, liturgies, and rites.
• Provide choir and musical support for one regular Catholic Mass per week and approximately 20 special events annually.
• Organize, rehearse, and lead a choir, including a pianist and singer.
• Provide music for funerals and memorial services.
• Select and get approval for appropriate music.
• Ensure musical instruments and sound equipment are functioning properly.
• Advise on musical equipment and supplies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of four years of experience in liturgical music for Catholic worship.
• Ability to work in a religiously diverse environment and communicate in English.
• Registered member of a Catholic parish in full communion with the Catholic Church.
• Ability to manage a liturgical choir and musical instruments.
