Job Title: Dietician Location: Washington, DC Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Completion of a didactic program in dietetics accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education (CADE).
Completion of a CADE accredited supervised practicum.
Certification by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Possession of a current, full, and unrestricted license to perform dietician/nutritionist services in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
Duties:
Develop cycle menus for various diet types including therapeutic, heart healthy (regular), and special diets.
Assess and evaluate food preparation processes, ensuring proper temperature, portion control, and presentation.
Monitor the nutritional value and quality of food, ensuring adherence to sanitation standards.
Upon receiving therapeutic or special diet orders, direct and monitor the preparation, serving, and tracking of these meals to ensure compliance with dietary requirements.
