Catholic Music Director
Aviano, Italy - Part Time
Location: Aviano Air Base, Italy
Position: Part-Time
Duties:
- Lead and direct the Catholic music program, including rehearsals and Masses, to create an engaging worship environment.
- Provide music for two regular weekend services (Saturday evening and Sunday morning), one weekly rehearsal, and all holy days of obligation.
- Collaborate with the Catholic priest in selecting and preparing music aligned with the liturgical calendar and scriptural themes.
- Ensure the proper setup, use, and care of musical instruments and chapel equipment, returning all items to their designated places after use.
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma; college degree or certificate in music or a related field is preferred.
- At least two years of recent experience as a musician in a Catholic church or chapel.
- Comprehensive understanding of Catholic Mass structure, traditions, and liturgical music, including both classical and contemporary hymns.
- Proven ability to organize and work with individuals from various musical backgrounds.
