Examine patients and ask about their symptoms.
Diagnose common illnesses and health problems.
Prescribe medications when needed.
Order and review lab tests and medical exams.
Treat minor injuries and illnesses.
Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure.
Provide vaccinations and routine health screenings.
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Active Nurse Practitioner license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
DEA license if prescribing controlled medications
