Veterinarian

Location: Miami International Airport (MIA), Miami, FL

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform veterinary examinations, diagnostics, and treatment of animals as required by CBP.

• Support inspection, handling, and disposition of animals and animal products encountered during CBP operations.

• Provide professional veterinary guidance related to animal health, disease prevention, and biosecurity.

• Prepare and maintain accurate medical records, reports, and documentation in accordance with CBP requirements.

• Coordinate with CBP personnel, agriculture specialists, and other government representatives as directed.

• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional veterinary standards.

• Respond to services as ordered under individual delivery/task orders issued during the contract period.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution.

• Active, unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in the United States.

• Knowledge of animal health, zoonotic diseases, and veterinary public health practices.

• Ability to work in an operational airport and law-enforcement environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting government, agriculture, or port-of-entry operations.

• Familiarity with federal animal health and import/export regulations.
