Provide three-way telephonic interpretation services for LEP (Limited English Proficiency) veterans and designees, facilitating communication with VA employees, including clerks, registered nurses, and healthcare providers.
Conduct interpretation for healthcare discussions, including explanations of treatment plans, obtaining consents, and other necessary communications, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Coordinate seamless interaction over the phone between the veteran/designee and VA employees using more than 200 languages to support comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
Valid certifications in language interpretation and adherence to HIPAA standards.
Proficiency in handling calls with limited English-speaking individuals, particularly with experience in Spanish as it is the most commonly used language for this contract.
Availability to provide interpretation services 24/7, 365 days a year, to meet the flexible and around-the-clock needs of the VA Health System.
Prior experience working with LEP individuals in a healthcare environment is highly preferred.
