Position Title: Grease Trap Service Technician

Location: Fresno VA Medical Center, Fresno, CA
Job Type: Part-Time / On-Call (Quarterly Services)

Job Summary

The Grease Trap Service Technician is responsible for the inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of grease traps within the VA facility. This role ensures proper removal of fats, oils, and grease (FOG) and compliant disposal in accordance with environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in grease trap cleaning or related services
• Experience with vacuum extraction equipment
• Knowledge of FOG handling and disposal regulations
• Ability to safely handle waste materials
• Understanding of environmental and safety compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform vacuum extraction of grease traps
• Clean all internal surfaces, removing all FOG and residue
• Inspect grease traps for functionality and potential issues
• Ensure proper containment and handling of waste materials
• Transport and dispose of grease in accordance with EPA and local regulations
• Maintain clean and safe work areas during and after service
• Coordinate with hood cleaning team for integrated service execution
