Worksite: On-site Location: Culebra National Wildlife Refuge, Culebra, Puerto Rico Job Type: Part-Time
Duties:
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of office, shop, and living quarters, including mopping, sweeping, disinfecting, and maintaining hygiene standards.
Manage weekly maintenance tasks such as cleaning windows, rolling down storm shutters, and grass cutting around facilities.
Support the upkeep of Refuge grounds including cutting grass, pruning trees, removing non-native species, and assisting in beach cleanups.
Participate in environmental conservation tasks such as invasive species control and habitat restoration.
Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and vehicles.
Conduct routine checks and maintenance of vehicles and boats, including cleaning, tire inspections, and motor flushing.
Operate all equipment and vehicles safely, adhering to training and safety standards.
Promptly report any safety concerns or deficiencies to the Refuge management.
Requirements:
Valid state driver’s license.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Ability to wear and maintain provided uniform and safety equipment during maintenance tasks.
Working Hours:
Two days per week, 8 hours per day (Total of 832 hours per year)
