Job Title: Roman Catholic Priest

Location: USAG Humphreys and K16 Chapel, Republic of Korea

Duties:

• Shall conduct Catholic Masses (52 services annually) at USAG Humphreys and K16 Chapel, enhancing the spiritual life of the congregation.
• Shall provide Catholic Special Services, including confessions, counseling, hospital visits, and memorial services (30 services annually).
• Shall perform sacraments including baptisms, marriages, funerals, and the Anointing of the Sick as required by the congregation and Chaplain’s Program.
• Shall coordinate with the Garrison Chaplain to schedule and adjust services to meet the needs of the community.
• Shall develop and provide a schedule and activity plan for all Masses and special services.
• Shall ensure presence at least thirty (30) minutes prior to each Mass or special service.
• Shall provide pastoral counseling and spiritual guidance to soldiers, civilians, and families upon request.
• Shall provide substitute coverage in the event of absence, ensuring continuous service to the Catholic community.
• Shall participate in Chapel programs, memorial ceremonies, and religious education efforts as directed by the Garrison Chaplain.
• Shall observe all national holidays but conduct services on holidays when required by the religious calendar.
• Shall be available for emergency pastoral care as requested by the Garrison Chaplain.

Education & Qualifications:

• Must be a fully ordained Roman Catholic Priest in good standing with the ability to obtain valid faculties from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Catholic Priest.
• Must possess an ordination certificate, endorsement from the Archdiocese, and relevant education diplomas.
• Must be proficient in English, capable of conducting Mass, sacraments, and counseling in English.
