Provide injury report updates to head athletic trainer, sport coaches, and athletic director.
Submit appropriate travel requests and authorizations in accordance with university policy (two weeks prior to travel).
Submit appropriate requisitions for purchase of supplies and/or equipment in accordance with university policy (two weeks prior to date of service/product need).
Collaborate on the creation of an equipment operations plan.
Collaborate on the creation of an inventory control plan to address loss prevention.
Provide guidance to student athletic training interns.
Assess student athletic training intern competencies
Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible to receive approval from the university safety officer to operate a government vehicle.
Education & Certifications:
Master's degree preferred.
A baccalaureate degree is required.
Degrees are preferred to be in the discipline and/or sub-discipline of Health, Sport and Exercise Science or education (higher education, education administration, secondary physical education, etc.).
NATA (National Athletic Trainer Association) credentialing and BOC (Board of Certification) requirements and/or ATC (Athletic Trainer Certified) certification is required.
Possess and maintain certification in basic first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Qualifications:
Must have prior athletic training experience at the intercollegiate level: NJCAA, NAIA and/or NCAA.
Must have demonstrated success in athletic training.
