Location : Mental Health Department, 3001 Green Bay Rd, North Chicago, Illinois 60064
Hours of Work : Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm CST, excluding government holidays. 11 one-hour sessions per week, total 572 sessions in 52 weeks.
Job Summary: Ladgov Corporation is looking to hire a Yoga Trainer to provide meditation and other stress-reduction techniques to assist as an adjunct for psychotherapy and medication management treatment for depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders. Regardless of any physical limitations to support the Department of Veteran Affairs component at Mental Health in North Chicago, Illinois
Duties :
- Conduct and lead yoga classes.
- Visually assess students to determine their level of practice.
- Assist students to achieve precise alignment.
- Demonstrate practice and techniques.
- Possess the ability to move energy through the body.
- Transform energy during the warm-up, build-up and cool-down stages.
Education & Qualifications :
- Yoga certification with Yoga Alliance.
- Minimum of 200 hours of experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience in health and fitness is preferable
- Provide access to specific services tailored for Veterans.
- Wellness services shall be Veteran-focused and provided by instructors with trauma-focused training.
- Shall incorporate (5) five practices: Discipline, Breathing, Posture, Meditation, and Gratitude. Yoga Therapy and will be provided for a beginner’s level participant.
