Provide telephone switchboard and communication support for a VA Medical Center, ensuring all incoming calls, paging, and emergency communications are handled promptly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls within 3 rings and route appropriately
Provide general information and directory assistance
Operate:
Telephone switchboard systems
Overhead paging and radio communication systems
Handle emergency calls (Code Blue, fire alarms, etc.)
Dispatch messages and coordinate emergency communications
Assist with outgoing and long-distance calls
Maintain accurate logs and records
Protect patient information in compliance with HIPAA
Qualifications
Experience in call center, switchboard, or customer service role
