Treat patients with common acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, post-operative orthopedic patients within accepted protocols
Collaborate with the physician in the health care of patients with chronic illnesses
Prescribe and dispense medications as delineated by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee
Promote preventive and health maintenance care, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling
Coordinate patient care through a continuum and facilitates the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to care, quality and cost effectiveness
Ability to recognize adverse signs and symptoms and react quickly in emergency situations.
Participate in the orientation of newly assigned personnel, as appropriate.
Qualifications :
Minimum of two (2) year work experience as a licensed Physical Therapist
Education/ Licensure :
Master's in Physical Therapy
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Possess and maintain an active, current, valid and unrestricted license from a U.S. jurisdiction (1 of 50 states), the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands and applicable Board Certification as a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
