Provide musical leadership for Protestant worship services, including preludes, postludes, offertories, and accompaniment for hymns and contemporary worship songs.
Lead and rehearse with choirs, praise teams, and other musicians to prepare for weekly services and special events.
Collaborate with chaplains and other staff to select appropriate music that aligns with the liturgical calendar and enhances the worship experience.
Perform at all scheduled worship services, including Sundays, holy days, and special services (e.g., memorials and religious education events).
Create and manage digital music slides, maintain records of music selections, and submit administrative reports.
Maintain the organization and upkeep of musical equipment and sheet music.
Requirements:
Minimum of two years of experience performing as a pianist, keyboardist, or guitarist in a worship setting.
Proficiency in reading music and performing a variety of musical styles including contemporary, gospel, traditional, and liturgical.
Ability to lead congregational singing and adjust musical arrangements to enhance participation.
Strong organizational skills to handle administrative duties, including creating music slides and submitting reports.
A professional and courteous demeanor with the ability to work collaboratively with chaplains, staff, and volunteers.
