Location: U.S. Coast Guard Academy, 33 Mohegan Avenue, New London, CT 06320
Schedule:
- Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- One additional weekday (3:00 PM – 7:00 PM) for faculty coordination and additional tutoring
- Services provided during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters

- Chemistry II
- Deliver individualized and group tutoring sessions to cadets during scheduled evening hours.
- Explain chemistry principles, formulas, laboratory concepts, and assigned coursework.
- Assist students with homework, quizzes, examinations, and overall course preparation.
- Maintain weekly records of student attendance, tutoring duration, and topics covered.
- Meet weekly with Coast Guard Academy faculty to review course objectives and instructional priorities.
- Communicate student progress and identify individuals requiring additional academic support.
- Provide tutoring in person at the Center for Teaching and Learning located in Waesche Hall.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field.
- Minimum one (1) year of tutoring experience in a higher education environment.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working collaboratively with faculty in higher education.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
