Duties:

Prepare ingredients for meals, including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, and organizing supplies.
Ensure consistent portion sizes to maintain meal quality and nutritional standards.
Maintain a clean and sanitized food prep area, including surfaces, tools, and equipment.
Set up and restock self-service areas, such as the salad bar, as required.
Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper food handling procedures.

Requirements:

Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role.
Knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling.
Detail-oriented with the ability to follow portioning and recipe guidelines.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Must have a valid Food Handler’s Certificate (State of Louisiana or equivalent).
