Duties:
- Input and verify new hire documents in USA Staffing to support onboarding processes.
- Develop and update personnel reports for program audits, special projects, and personnel policy inquiries.
- Assist supervisors and administrative staff in using automated data processing systems (E-Verify, GRB, USA Staffing, EmpowHR, NFC, and IT Service Hub).
- Guide selectees through onboarding, ensuring all forms are complete and accurate; conduct reviews of personnel forms for compliance with federal regulations.
- Maintain personnel action records in the National Finance Center (NFC) database, ensuring adherence to processing timelines.
- Counsel employees on various personnel actions, including grade and pay retention, promotion adjustments, and benefits eligibility determinations.
- Conduct orientations for new hires, support HR system updates, and coordinate entry-on-duty (EOD) dates, release dates, and security packages.
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruiting efforts, offering expertise on recruitment policies and hiring authorities.
Requirements:
- Proficiency with federal HR systems, including NFC, EmpowHR, Epic, eOPF, GRB, and USA Staffing.
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Knowledge of personnel action processing, including familiarity with codes for Standard Form actions, legal authority, and tenure tracking.
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of federal HR processing requirements, pay setting, and retention guidelines.
- Skilled in using various HR and data processing systems; must be adept at team collaboration and effective communication.
- Detail-oriented, able to conduct accurate document reviews, prepare personnel reports, and address pay and personnel policy questions.
