Requirements:
The candidate shall have :
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred Experience: Logistics management, Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system, project management.
  • Forklift certification .
  • HIPAA and Cyber Awareness training .
  • Specialized handling training for hazardous/sensitive cargo (corrosives, flammables, cold storage items).
  • Must obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance (DD254 required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Outlook, internet-based systems, and DMLSS.
  • Must be able to obtain Common Access Card (CAC) and DBIDS installation access.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Medical Materiel Technician provides warehouse and logistics support for the War Reserve Materiel (WRM) program and daily medical logistics operations. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Receiving & Storage Operations
    • Verify incoming shipments against orders; scan barcodes and update automated records.
    • Store, stack, palletize, and rotate stock considering usage, size, and handling requirements.
  • Issuing & Shipping
    • Select, assemble, and prepare items for shipment based on priority, type, and destination.
    • Safely operate automated handling equipment (e.g., storage/retrieval vehicles, stock selectors).
  • Inventory & Accountability
    • Maintain accurate records of WRM assets; conduct annual/cyclical inventories.
    • Ensure compliance with shelf-life extension programs, controlled medical items, hazardous materials, and refrigerated/frozen materiel management.
    • Produce inventory documentation for review by the WRM Project Officer.
  • Program & Reporting Support
    • Establish and maintain WRM assemblage levels; assist with modernization operations.
    • Brief the Medical Readiness Committee (MRC) on materiel status quarterly.
    • Conduct self-inspections IAW DAFI 41-230 and applicable TO guidance.
    • Maintain WRM continuity folders and support audits.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Safeguard government property, equipment, and materiel.
    • Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, USAF Medical Service, and Joint Commission standards.
    • Complete required timecards and maintain professional appearance, conduct, and reliability.
