Job Title: CFLR Facilitator
Job Type: Part-time
Location: Durango, Colorado

Qualifications:

  • Reside in or near Durango, CO, to attend in-person meetings.
  • Formal training in facilitation or mediation.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in facilitation or mediation, particularly in natural resources or conflict resolution.
  • Proven experience working with large, diverse groups, particularly in challenging or conflict-prone environments.
  • Familiarity with natural resources, forestry, watershed initiatives, and CFLRPs.
  • Experience with NEPA processes is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in collaborative methodologies and digital communication tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Effective conflict management and facilitation abilities.

Duties:

  • Schedule and announce meetings in the Durango area.
  • Set up and moderate online, in-person, and hybrid meetings.
  • Collaborate with participants to develop meeting agendas.
  • Facilitate structured and productive discussions.
  • Establish and enforce rules for discussion and agreement.
  • Encourage active participation from all members.
  • Document and distribute meeting notes, action items, and agendas promptly.
  • Share documentation with the Communications Subcommittee for online access.
  • Apply conflict resolution techniques to manage disputes effectively.
  • Collaborate with committee chairs on agenda development.
  • Hold participants accountable for their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Ensure meetings produce tangible outcomes.
