Position Title: Store Worker

Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Location: Bolling JBA Commissary, 185 Chappie James Boulevard, Washington, DC 20032
Reports To: Store Worker Lead

Position Summary:

The Store Worker supports daily commissary operations by performing shelf-stocking, receiving/storage/holding area (RSHA) tasks, and ensures timely and accurate placement of merchandise on shelves. This position operates under a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and must comply with Service Contract Act wage and benefit requirements.

Qualifications: The candidate shall have:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
Basic English communication skills (reading, speaking, writing).
Experience with material handling equipment (preferred but not required).
Must pass a background check and obtain base access.

Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate shall:

Unload, receive, and verify incoming merchandise.
Transport goods from RSHA to sales floor using pallet jacks or carts.
Stock shelves according to store layouts and allocation plans.
Rotate inventory using FIFO or expiration date sequencing.
Remove expired, damaged, or infested items and report to supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness and order in RSHA and assigned work zones.
Participate in night stocking operations as scheduled.
Report safety hazards, spills, or accidents immediately.
Comply with PPE and OSHA standards during all tasks.
