Job Title: Resiliency Coordinator and Trainer
Location: City of Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan 936310
Duties:
- Identify areas in need in, relation to; resiliency strengthening, corresponding trainings, resources, and providers.
- Coordinate delivery of developed training to members.
- Plan and coordinate events/ retreats. To make all events / retreats happen contact with appropriate departments,
- Ensure that scheduled trainings are; conducted in accordance with program standards, trainers and participants are accounted for (rosters), and feedback forms collected.
- Ensure to conduct resiliency program trainings at least twice a month for the service members and their families.
- Develop, implements, and evaluates resiliency trainings, in addition to conducting resiliency trainings by coordinating with Chaplains.
- Resiliency program will require active publicity of program and trainings.
- The resiliency support program will require administrative support, which includes, ordering of supplies, materials, and required trainings of trainers.
- Recording, organizing, and maintenance of this information is required with care given for safeguarding of personal information.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree highly desired.
- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to conduct trainings on resiliency programs and lead any size group functions.
- Demonstrates the ability to organize and coordinate trainings and schedules, including managing both participants and trainers from across the station.
- Must have the ability to acquire Facebook account and familiar with posting events (advertising) and associated communications concerning trainings advertisements and managing a Facebook page.
- Able to work a flex workweek and be able to manage after hour and weekend events.
- Chaplain’s recommendation letter.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Be able to speak and write English fluently.
- Able to function comfortably in a religiously diverse environment where people of other denominations and religions share the use of military chapels and worship spaces and training areas.
- Experienced with computers and software, to include all Microsoft Office products, specifically Word Excel and Outlook.
- Possess a civilian, working e-mail account.
- Maintain a professional attitude and present a neat personal appearance at all times.
- Candidate employees that are US Nationals must register in SPOT and be able to obtain SOFA status, Candidate Personnel Performing in Japan. SOFA status and SPOT registration are not applicable to non-US Nationals.
- Properly handle all Government supplied materials.
- Candidate employees will be subject to all U.S. Forces regulations and directives pertaining to civilian component personnel within the country.
