Job Title: Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant
Place of Performance: The Federal Correctional Complex (FCC), 1060 River Rd, Petersburg, VA 23860
Work Schedule: Eight (8) one-hour sessions per week 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
Qualifications:

The Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Educational Program.
Completion of two years of documented work experience as a PA.
Possess practical experience, education, and licensure.
CPR certified.

Tasks:

Collaborate with staff and consulting physicians to plan, evaluate, and revise healthcare programs.
Identify early signs of serious physical, emotional, or mental health issues.
Manage daily clinic operations and conduct daily sick calls, including patient history and evaluations.
Provide emergency services, including trauma care and life-saving procedures, in the absence of a physician.
Perform minor surgical procedures, such as suturing, cyst removal, and ingrown toenail repair, after consulting with a physician.
