Catholic Religious Education Coordinator

Job Title: Catholic Religious Education Coordinator (CREC)
Job Type: Part-Time
Location: Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ
 

Qualifications:

• Must be a practicing Catholic.
• A bachelor's degree or a minimum of two years of experience in Catholic religious education, human resources, program management, or office organization.
• Knowledge of Roman Catholic teachings, customs, and traditions, including current developments in religious education.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in and be fully conversant with the pluralistic environment of the United States Air Force Chaplain Corps.
• Experience in planning liturgies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff members and volunteers.

Duties:

• Ensure all religious education programs align with USCCB and Archdiocese standards.
• Oversee religious education across all grades, including sacramental preparation, adult education, and Scripture study.
• Train and manage Catechists, ensuring they complete required training.
• Organize and manage religious education events, including maintaining inventory and selecting curricula.
• Manage registrations and maintain accurate records of students and Catechists.
• Communicate with parents regarding attendance and discipline issues.
• Coordinate publicity for programs and attend required meetings.
• Schedule sacraments and liturgies in coordination with the Catholic Priest.
• Manage fund requests, assist in budget development, and ensure financial compliance.
• Coordinate all Catholic Religious Education Programs and Catholic Chapel Programs.
