The Parking Facility Support Specialist provides daily support for parking operations at a federal facility. The employee is responsible for helping maintain a safe, organized, and accessible parking environment for authorized personnel.
The position involves monitoring parking areas, assisting users with parking access procedures, reporting facility concerns, and ensuring that parking operations are conducted in accordance with established safety and security procedures. The ideal candidate should be dependable, customer-focused, and able to work effectively in a professional government facility environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor assigned parking areas to ensure spaces are properly used and available for authorized personnel.
- Assist employees with parking access, entry procedures, and general parking-related questions.
- Conduct routine checks of parking areas, entrances, exits, lighting, and other facility conditions.
- Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or unusual activity.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parking environment.
- Support parking access control procedures, including assisting with access cards or parking credentials when required.
- Maintain accurate records and provide reports regarding parking-related issues or incidents.
- Communicate professionally with government employees, visitors, and facility personnel.
- Follow all established safety, security, and facility procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in parking operations, customer service, facility support, security assistance, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees and visitors.
- Ability to follow instructions, complete assigned tasks, and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify operational or safety concerns.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional attitude.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
- Must be able to successfully complete required background screening and comply with federal facility requirements.
