Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Prevention Program Assessment Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to establish effective oversight and assessments of prevention programs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of suicide prevention or sexual violence prevention (sexual assault and sexual harassment), along with strong analytical skills to identify and assess mainstream literature, develop innovative presentations for professional development, evaluate program doctrines, and conduct thorough evaluations of ongoing prevention program initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Literature Review and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive reviews of mainstream literature related to either suicide prevention or sexual violence prevention. Synthesize research findings and emerging trends to inform the development and enhancement of prevention strategies.

  • Professional Development Enhancement: Develop innovative presentations and training materials that enhance the knowledge and skills of the prevention workforce. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the content is current, engaging, and impactful.

  • Program Doctrine Evaluation: Evaluate existing prevention program doctrines to ensure alignment with best practices and evolving research. Provide recommendations for updates and improvements to program frameworks based on evidence-based approaches.

  • Ongoing Program Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of ongoing prevention program initiatives. Utilize quantitative and qualitative methods to assess program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including program managers, researchers, and educators, to share insights and findings. Collaborate on the development of evidence-based strategies and interventions.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports summarizing assessment results, recommendations, and outcomes. Present findings to key stakeholders in a clear and accessible manner.

  • Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest research, trends, and developments in the field of suicide prevention or sexual violence prevention. Apply this knowledge to inform assessment methodologies and program enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (psychology, public health, social work, etc.). Master's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in either suicide prevention or sexual violence prevention, including a strong understanding of relevant literature and best practices.
  • Proven experience in literature review, research analysis, and program evaluation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into understandable insights.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ethical and professional conduct, particularly when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
