Duties:

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fitness equipment, including routine inspections, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repairs.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in fitness equipment, using manufacturer guidelines and technical specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, tighten, and replace parts as needed to maintain equipment functionality and adherence to safety standards.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities in the Equipment Maintenance Log (Addendum 2) and submit updates to Fitness Center Management.
• Respond to service calls within 24 hours and provide assessments, remedies, and progress updates within the required timelines.
• Manage inventory of tools, replacement parts, and supplies to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area, ensuring compliance with base safety and security standards.
• Coordinate with Fitness Center Management to schedule monthly inspections and provide updates on equipment status and maintenance activities.

• Certification in the maintenance and repair of Life Fitness, Cybex, and Hammer Strength equipment is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintaining commercial fitness equipment; experience with brands such as Woodway, Precor, Matrix, Versa Climber, and Concept2 is preferred.
• Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electronic systems in fitness equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to document maintenance activities and interact with Fitness Center Management effectively.
