Location: U.S. Navy Seabee Museum, Port Hueneme, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
Type: Full-Time, On-Site
U.S. Citizenship: Required

Viakorp Corporation is seeking a Museum Curator to support artifact inventory, cataloging, photography, preservation, and digitization at the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum.

Responsibilities

Inventory and catalog museum artifacts.
Photograph and document artifacts.
Clean, prepare, and repack artifacts for preservation.
Update collection records and digital files.
Assist with museum collection digitization.
Follow museum collection management standards.

Qualifications

Degree, education, or current studies in History, Museum Studies, Archival Management, or a related field.
Experience with artifact cataloging, collections, archives, or curatorial work.
Familiarity with collection management systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat, and basic digital photography.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical museum collection work.
